"Seeing Spots" at Three Months

Gracie Jo is Three Months Old today!
This "Cheetah Girl" now weighs 11 pounds 15 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long. She is developing more personality every day. She coos when I sing to her and loves to be held. She's definitely a "People Person". She makes noises as soon as I leave the room and always wants to be in the action. I've become the "one-armed parent" because she doesn't want to miss anything. Gracie doesn't like Tummy Time - it's more like "Screaming Time". Her bedtime is still around 2:00 in morning - even though I told her earlier would be better. However, at least three times a week she will sleep for seven hours straight once falling asleep. That's a big improvement

Here Gracie is really excited because Jody was playing peek-a-boo with her, by hiding behind a blanket.

We did it! We captured the Gummy Grin with our camera! What a Cheese ball!

How Big is Too Big?

When it comes to "bows" - how big is too big? I think the sky is really the limit on this one! Take for instance these pictures of Gracie. I know she feels fabulous showcasing her gigantic white bow on her already wobbly head. Okay - maybe not in the last picture - but that is only because the photo shoot went a little longer than planned.

A Stroll Down Memory Lane!

February is a Special Month for Our Family. Not only is it the month of love with Valentine's Day...but earlier this month, Jody and I celebrated three years of marriage. It's nice to look back and see how it all started. It was Jody who initiated our relationship by saving me a seat in one of our communications classes at BYU back in 2003. Who knew the boy sitting next to me would end up being the man of my dreams?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gracie would like to wish everyone a Happy Heart Day! Valentine's Day is a good holiday for her - because she looks so great in Pink! She is now 11-weeks-old. She has found her hands - and she loves trying to stuff her whole fist in her mouth. She smiles really big (never when the camera is out) when mom sings to her and when daddy reads to her. In this picture to the right - Gracie is maxed out with pictures...but still a doll! She's our little sweetheart!

A Montana Snowman!

Since we are new to the "Blogging World" - we had a great deal of catching up to do, so that you could all meet our new addition to the Tait Family. Our lives have been turned upside down since Gracie came into our family...and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Earlier this week Gracie and I talked Jody into helping us build a snowman during his lunch break. (Okay, let's be honest. It was me begging Jody to build "Frosty"!) Jody did a great job building our snowman. Gracie and I mostly watched from the window. But when it came time to take a picture with our new snowy friend...I got a little too close to the masterpiece...and knocked our Snowman over. Whoops. What a great husband and dad...Jody built him A SECOND TIME...and this time - I kept my distance. Gracie has done really well this winter. We bundle her up every time we go out, and we are excited for the day when she can help us build a snowman!!

Our Little Miracle!

Gracie is blessed to have many family members and friends who love her so much. Gwama and Papa Tait came up to Montana, with Aunt Kylene, to visit Gracie when she was just a few weeks old. It was such a sweet visit. At Christmas Time we made the trip to Utah, so we could be "Home for the Holidays". Jody blessed Gracie at Grandma and Grandpa Tait's house on December 30th - it was a very special day.

Bringing Home Baby!!

November proved to be a magical and spectacular month! That's when Gracie Jo Tait came into the world - and how appropriate for her to be born around Thanksgiving. We do have so much to be thankful for. Gracie's Due Date was November 28th - but the doctor knew she was ready, and we couldn't wait to meet our precious angel - so I was induced earlier than we had planned. After seven hours of labor and a few scary moments in the delivery room - Gracie came into this world at 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Jody and I were both surprised she was that big. The doctor kept telling us she wouldn't be bigger than 6.5 pounds. Grandma and Grandpa Wiscombe and Uncle Michael were there at the Hospital to give Gracie a kiss after she was born. Gracie looked so much like her daddy that we thought the middle name "Jo" was more than appropriate! She has the bluest eyes you've ever seen, and she has been the greatest blessing in our lives. We love her so much!!!

Celebrating Three Years!

February 4, 2005 was a magical day! Jody and I were married for all time and eternity in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. We were surrounded by our family and friends - the day was simply perfect. It was a winter wonderland wedding - with all the trimmings! After our reception that evening, Jody and I rode off into the sunset in a horse-drawn carriage. Little did we know our lives would bring us such joy and adventure. These past three years have been a wonderful thrill - coupled with every emotion possible. We feel so blessed to have found each other!
