Lehi Baby Contest!

Since it's our first year for the "Round-Up" here in Lehi, we entered Gracie in the Baby Contest. The theme was "Old Hollywood"! Needless to say she made a fantastic Marilyn Monroe.

She is always so good to let me curl her hair. And she does so well with accessories. She left her gloves on for hours! The Lehi Police Department sponsors the Baby Contest, and the judges awarded Gracie 1st Place for babies 13-18 months!

Waiting with Grandma Wiscombe for the results.

They gave a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize for boys and girls in each age category...and Gracie took home the Gold!

They gave all the babies a cute little T-shirt!

Winning granted us a place in the Friday night Parade. A good chance for Gracie to showcase all this waving and kiss-blowing she does around our house. Thanks to everyone who came to cheer her on! Here's a video of her waving in the parade.

Cowboy Birthday!

In honor of Michael's Birthday, we found our Western Wear and Boots and celebrated with a big Yee Haw! So anyone who knows Michael...KNOWS that he LOVES country music...specifically George Strait. So what better gift for Jody and I to give him than a George Strait Fan Club Membership. (Mom, you can thank me later for the oodles and oodles of G.S. pictures and newsletters you'll be getting in the mail!) Michael turned 25...and that is quite the accomplishment to both him and my parents for taking such outstanding care of him. Michael, in your 25 years, you have touched more people for good than many will in a lifetime. I love you and feel so lucky to have you as my brother!

Michael wanted everyone to "dress the part" and come prepared to sing a George Strait song. This is HOW MUCH we love you Michael!

Aunt LaMae was the most theatrical to watch as she lip-synched to a George Strait Hit!

I love this picture. Gracie looks stunning in her pink boots. Gracie won 1st Place in the Lehi Baby Contest earlier this week. She gets to ride in the Lehi City Days Round-Up parade Friday night. More pictures on that to come...

And Happy Father's Day Jody! You are an excellent father to Gracie. I'm so thankful for all of the "Dads" in my life!

News Story!

Here's my live shot from the 5:00 show earlier today. I broke the story at noon and also went live again for our 6:00 p.m. show. Due to the overload of stories on our website, I'm not sure how many days this story will stay current. The story is called "Woman Washed Down Creek After Dog" if it doesn't play immediately. 2news has been a wonderful experience thus far.

Monkeying Around...

We took a trip to the Hogle Zoo with some good friends! I was roommates with both Melissa & Christina back in my UVU days. It's wonderful that we are still such great friends, and now we can continue making memories with our kids.

Gracie and Savannah showing their "wild" side. We had a hard time dragging them off of these statues...

This picture is such a crack-up. Christina's little boy Nathan is making the Choo-Choo noise on the train. Very Enthusiastic...

If only Nathan's energy could rub off on Gracie! :)
Did someone say "Naptime"?

We could have spent hours at this water-feature.

Little Miss Polka-Dot!

And it was a fun-filled & jam-packed Summer Day. Jody and I ended the night with a Salt Lake Bees Baseball Game.
