Earlier this month we traveled to California for some fun in the sun with our friends KC & Sally and their little girl Maycee. KC and Sally made sure we didn't miss a thing! We visited a number of beaches, and we discovered Gracie LOVES the beach and the ocean.
It was her first trip to the ocean, and I'd say she looked like a California Girl with those blue eyes and blonde BLONDE hair! She ran right up to the ocean at Newport Beach and sat down. Whoops!
I tried my first "Cheese on a Stick" on the Santa Monica Pier and my first "Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana" at Balboa Village.

So I had to take this picture because "Fun Zone" is a bit of joke in our family. Back when Jody and I were at BYU, we were selected to travel to Peru with the Broadcasting department to help film a series of documentaries. On the overnight flight to South America, I was sitting next to Jody rocking out to my headphones. I turned to Jody, who looked bored, and said (in what I thought was a normal speaking voice.) "It's the FUN ZONE over here in seat 26 B!" Turns out I YELLED that...overcompensating for my loud music. People on the plane woke up to see what the Fun Zone was all about....and it was quite embarrassing. It was funny at the time. Maybe you had to be there! :)

We were at Santa Monica pier 2yrs ago, sorry we missed the frozen bananas, but we did buy the oil painting on glass, done with a finger instead of a paint brush souveiner. Looks like fun...and WARM!
California suits you guys! I love the 'Surfer Girl' montage! But nothing tops the "GROWING" pigtails! That's hilarious! I think they make a pill for that! :D Miss you guys!

Looks like the weather was great and that you had a great time too. McKenna loves the beach also, but she's only been to a Washington beach, so it's not as warm, but she loved it anyway.

Very fun pictures. Living in California for sure has its perks with the nice weather. To answer your question, I am really not a Lakers fan. I have a to-do list of sports games and venues I want to see before I die. Going to a Lakers game was on my list so Alli got me the tickets for Christmas. It was alot of fun.
Next time you plan a trip to California let us know and maybe we can work out a time to meet you and Jody and say hi. Gracie is growing up so fast. It is fun to see the pictures.
Cami is four months and going to be tall. She is already 27 inches long and 17 pounds.
Looks like a fun trip. Don't worry, I totally laughed out loud at the "Fun Zone" comment. That is hillarious...totally something I would do...glad I'm not alone.
How fun! We also need some fun in the sun vacation.
