Big Girls Don't Cry!

The week I have been dreading my entire Maternity Leave has arrived - I went back to work at KPAX Channel 8 this week. I am happy to say that I think the 24 hours a week that I am working will make me appreciate being a Mom so much more. Although Gracie was constantly on my mind...as I watched the clock that first day - it was great to be out doing something I enjoyed "Before Baby". It was rewarding to chase scanner traffic, shoot breaking news, and race back to the station to get it on the air before going live at 10:00. Jody brought Gracie to visit me last night. (You can tell she was in Jody's care, because there is NO bow on her head in the pictures!) I was thrilled to see them. We snapped a few pictures of Gracie's first debut behind the anchor desk. Gracie's trying to run the teleprompter in the picture above.

Congratulations Brittany!! I know how BIG of a step...well- more like a MOUNTAIN that is to overcome! I'm proud of you! You've been on my mind this week. Nothing beats the smile you get from Gracie (or Jody!) when you come home. I'm glad that everything has worked out.It ALWAYS does! :)

Love you, Irene and Greg

Gracie is getting so big, and she is sooo cute! I love the pictures you post, so keep them coming. i think you guys look so cute behind the desk. I know what you mean about working part time but you have to do what you have to do. And I also like the idea of them getting "daddy-daughter" time.
